From the monthly archives: April 2012

This is bittersweet (especially coming from me who just “gave away” my third daughter!!) – Frans Hofmeester filmed his daughter Lotte every week, from when she was a baby to 12 years old, and stitched all the videos together to make this amazing time lapse video that shows what growing up looks like.

He also did the same for his son from birth until 9 years old:

This is interesting about Pinterest – shows more demographics about it and how it has grown. From Mashable:

Could Pinterest be the silver bullet for retailers on social media?  Pinterest is clearly resonating with online consumers in a big way.  To put it simply, customers who find a product via Pinterest are more likely to purchase it than those who find the product via other social networks.

Pinterest is hot. In fact, in March 2012 the site served up 2.3 billion page impressions to over 4 million unique visitors a day.

Who are these people? Why do Pinterest users respond so strongly to products that are pinned? This infographic from Tamba breaks down the stats, explaining why Pinterest is so powerful with its consumption-friendly audience.

I did not know this! Pretty cool and simple – from Lifehacker:

Don discovers a very handy feature in iOS’ Weather app:

I was looking at the Weather app on my iPhone today, and found out that if you tap on the 5-day forecast, it’ll actually expand to show you an hour-by-hour forecast of the current day. Can’t believe I didn’t know this before, but it’s extremely useful!
